A few months ago, I told
you the best way to keep GPS thieves at bay was to keep mountable GPS systems
out of sight. The mistake most people do, though, is hide the GPS system in
their glove box and leave the GPS mount attached to the window. This results
in broken windows, ransacked cars, and angry GPS owners who now have to replace
a window and buy another GPS system.
Can't wait to get your hands on that shiny iPhone 3G? Me either. Problem is
I have to find a way to get rid of my first one. I probably won't do so until
I get my hands on the new one, but it's never too early to start thinking about
my options. The good folks over at Lifehacker
spotted a new service that lets you trade your old cell phone or iPod for cash.
Traveling this summer doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg. Surely you've
heard that buying tickets on Wednesday

watch their favorite TV shows on traditional TV sets, according to a new study. A recent survey by Nielsen
for the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) found that a whopping 94 percent of respondents who subscribe to
cable or satellite television prefer to watch their shows on the old tube rather
than YouTube.
If you're going on vacation this summer, you better keep an eye on your laptop
while going through the security checkpoint. A
survey by Ponemon Institute found that close to 637,000 laptops are lost
each year, and most of them are never reclaimed. It seems travelers lose hope
of ever finding their laptop once they've misplaced it, so they tend to give
up their search.
Drivers beware. As you know by now, a new hands-free law goes into effect
in California
and Washington
state starting July 1. Drivers in these two states are encouraged to either
avoid answering calls while driving or head to the nearest store to buy a hands-free
device if their car doesn't already come with one.
